i'm sorry i haven't been around here for a while . . i suppose we could say i've been taking a break . . . i know some folks have deactivated their accounts over the past few months . . . i wish them well and will miss them here . . . i also know a few that are not happy with devart, but they are still around . . i wish them well also and will miss them too . . i have started cleaning out some of the old stuff from my gallery and will probably be cleaning up my "watch" list also . . . negativity is not something i can use right now thank you so much for all the comments, faves, etc. while i have been away . . even though i realize i may neve

i had stepped outside my office the other day when a friend/co-worker named lawrence saw me and asked if i had a camera with me . . . silly man, of course i had a camera with me . . . he had been observing some of our nesting canadian geese and wanted a photo of a young one breaking out of the shell when we arrived at the nest, it was obvious that there was something wrong . . . the parents and the other three goslings had left the nest site abandoning the fourth potential sibling she had chipped open a small hole in her shell and was feebly peeping . . . lawrence told me it had been like this for a while, but her peeping had grown fainter

this past weekend i participated in the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk held at the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro, NC . . . this was the first Alzheimer's fundraiser i have been involved with and it was very rewarding . . . received the following update today: Congratulations to our Champion Circle inductees.  Champion teams are those that raise $1,000 or more for Memory Walk and in Randolph those teams were: Forget-Me-Nots $3,861.00 Helen's Helpers $2,267.85 (Our Team!)
