opportunities for photos have been few and far between lately . . . but every once in a while, something just drops almost in my lap . . . i recently built a section of deck in the backyard . . . while sitting on the new steps the next day and wondering whether to bother going in for a camera, something dropped out of the tree overhead and landed beside me . . . a baby mockingbird had left the nest early and the mother was quite upset
